Vocations

Are You Called To Be A Priest?

The root word for vocation is vocare, which is Latin for “to call.” God has created each one of us for a particular calling or way to follow Him. Through the Sacrament of Baptism, we become a child of God and thus are called to live in holiness through the love of God and neighbor. It is important to also remember that our true vocation does not come from the world, but rather is an invitation directly from God to follow Him.

Are You Called To Religious Life?

Any women interested in exploring the possibility of a call to the religious life with the Chaldean Sisters, Daughter of Mary Immaculate order, will be asked to have contact with the convent novice mistress to help discern God’s will for her. The young woman then begins a regular relationship with the community. She tries to clarify her motives, her desires, her relationships, and her fears as she considers religious life. During this time the candidate should be experiencing deep dialogue with God, with herself, and with others.

If you are interested in learning more about a vocation to the religious life, please contact Our Lady of Chaldeans convent at 248-987-6731 and ask to speak to Sr. Angela.
